back is good but even at it most taut if you want the chair up high to top on a desk so your feet don't touch the ground but rest on the pedestal legs the seat is too soft so that the front edge cuts into your thighs unless you weigh 120 pounds!!

Love the chair but some of the hardware is incorrect. I purchased this chair before and remembered having to replace three of the bolts because the ones that are provided were too long. I purchased 3 bolts and used them to make up the difference in size. Cheap fix but inconvenient.

I really like the possibility of adjusting the back support. The chair can also be bought that has a cushioned seat...which I would have bought especially since I sit on the chair for long periods of time...but that does not take away from the comfort of the chair.
