I used this chair for a 5 day work week 7 hours a day. On the 5th day it developed a groaning sound when I rolled back or swiveled. I am returning it to the store since I am within the 14 day return window. It is a comfortable chair but I do not believe the mechanics will hold up. I only weigh 140 lbs. and the chair is rated for usage 5-10 hours per day. I am going to get a chair from a commercial office furniture dealer. Had hoped to avoid paying $200-$300 for a chair to work at home.
My opinion is that the chair does the job. I am using it at home as I am working from home occasionally. I am about 6'3" and wish I bought a chair with a neck/head rest but the tall back support is good. It also has an adjustable lumbar support but it's very basic. Arm rests seat (height and back support) as adjustable. Chair is also pretty wide but the seat seems a bit short. The chair has an option to lean back and lock it in place as well. Overall it's an economic chair for someone on a low-budget.
I’ve only had this chair for a couple of weeks and haven’t had the opportunity to use it much so I can only rate on first impressions. I was pleased that it was relatively easy to put together on my own. All parts were clearly marked and everything was in good condition. I was pleased that significant parts were metal not plastic. The chair in the store seemed less rigid and the lumbar support seemed to fit better but that may change over time as I use the chair more. If I could I would give 4 1/2 stars. I would definitely recommend this chair from my present experience.
