I knew I wanted a mesh chair. Leather is too hot and cloth gets dirty too easy. Mesh stays cool and clean while being comfortable. For the price it's hard to find a better chair.

The chair looks good but that's about all that I can say for it. I was hopeful seeing all the good reviews it got but it's going back because it's not comfortable. I've tried it for 4 days and my back is not happy! I have it all the way down and it is too high for my keyboard tray and monitors. The chair that it replaced had the ability to go lower than this one and fit the desk fine. I'm 5'11" and at the lowest height it's OK for me. My wife is 5'6" and she's not able to have her feet flat on the floor. She would have to use a foot stool with it. The mesh is exceedingly hard. The back does have good lumbar support but there is not enough give in it to properly support the rest of my back and I am having back pains from it. I tried adding a cushion but that put me too far forward on the seat. For the seat that hardness is causing my butt to be sore I cannot sit in in for more than a couple of hours without fatigue setting in. I tried adding a cushion there but that raised the height of it so that it was even more out of line with the computer.

Was really disappointed. For context I work from home and sit at my desk for over 8 hours a day. Considering this was one of the higher quality chairs at my local Staples and was marketed as something for 10 hours of use at a time I was excited when I tested this out at my local Staples and found it comfortable. After one week of use I found the mesh was beginning to sag and the staples holding it into the frame were starting to come out. I'm very disappointed over this but if it has to happen at least it's within the 2 weeks I can get it returned or exchanged.

I say it is a no frills chair because it is not fancy it is not leather and doesn't have all the fancy stitching and headrests etc like some chairs. It does have lumbar support the seat raises/lowers. the arm rests raise/lower the seat back tension can be adjusted it has rollers. I bought this chair mainly because the seat height actually raises higher than all the other chairs in the store. This suits my long legs much better and is much more comfortable for me when I spend long hours at my desk. It's a simple chair but comfortable and the price was right. Not need to spend over $200 for a chair.
