The instructions for this chair rated the assembly as "easy". However I struggled to get the casters on the base. Perhaps I'm just not strong enough but I had to google "desk chair assembly" before I realized you really have to smack the casters in. Once I got past that the chair went together easily. I'm happy with the chair it looks nice & is functional & is very comfortable on my lower back.

Very easy to assemble. I've only been using it for a few days but I do spend several hours per day in it while working from home. The adjustments are smooth and easy to reach. It rolls easily over the rug between desks. It feels sturdy and is comfortable to sit in for at least a 4 hour stretch.

First - kudos to Staples for having at least two dozen different chairs and out and ready to be sampled for comfort. I sat in almost all of them and liked this one the best - and was even happier when I found out it was on sale. Pretty easy to put together and after a week of using it I find it to be comfortable and functional and I'm pleased with my purchase.
