Great Chair

It took me a few days to get used to the chair but once I learned all the ergo settings I loved it. Makes working from home during COVID-19 a lot more pleasant. I am use to using a mesh chair at work so this one was perfect. I originally bought the Dexley chair (larger version of the Hyken) and as much as I wanted to like it I just could not make it work for me. I eventually found the Hyken in stock and what a difference those two chairs are. I am 5'9" and 175lbs and the Hyken was just right for me.

An employee has had this chair for a year and they still find it comfortable. This person is petite. Because it has lasted another staff member decided to get the same chair recently. This person is very tall. Both preferred it without the headrest; it is great that it is detachable. The Hyken Mesh chair is comfortable for different body heights and weight. The value of the chair on sale was desirable and in our budget.

I needed to replace a 7-8 year old leather office chair. The padding was wearing out and I tended to overheat on the leather during the summer if it got a little warm in my home office. I chose this chair and got it on sale at 40-50% off. It was easy to put together. It's very supportive. It has a nice lumbar support (adjustable) and I like the headrest which my previous chair did not have. I would definitely recommend this chair.

Sagging seat mesh - did I get a defected chair?

Within a couple of days the seat mesh became too loose or sagging/sinking even though my weight is only 140lbs. The sagging mesh made it very uncomfortable to sit on as the the body weight now lands on the seat's front edge. Imagine sitting on a cushioned bar. Also the headrest piece is positioned too low and its angle cannot be adjusted. Maybe it is better to use the chair without the headrest for most of the people. I purchased the chair mainly for the 4.5 out of 5 rating with 12K reviews. But it turned out to be the worst office chair I purchased during the recent years. Maybe I got a defected mesh seat?
