A functional low-end chair

I run a business from home. Recently we moved our primary focus to offering services online. As a result I find myself in a chair more often than before sometimes 8-10 hours per day. Though I take stretch breaks regularly the old chair I had did not make this prolonged sitting comfortable. The Hyken is a decent low-end chair that helps support proper posture. Like most office chairs the height is adjustable and it has an arm to enable/disable reclining as well as movable armrests. One of the chairs better features is the ability to change the resistance of the recline. This function means I can set the tension to a level that allows me to recline just the amount I want to but still have support and be able to work. The only drawback about this chair in my opinion is the headrest. It is oddly placed and I removed it. To be fair I'm not a fan of headrests on chairs. Something else others may not find ideal but that I prefer is a lack of a traditional cushion in favor of a mesh seat and backing. The mesh is very supportive but may not be ideal for people who like soft cushy chairs. Due to my content with this chair and the delivery I ordered two desks from Staples as well and hope to have equal satisfaction with them.

First remember that a chair fits each individual uniquely so make every effort to try out several if them before buying. Nd don't just sit and run......sit move as you do when at the task for which you will be using it lean back lean forward give it a workout. Otherwise you could be very disappointed. All that said this chair for me is wonderful. It hits the back of my legs at just the right point the ergonomics are perfect for my back and my head. I find it easy to adjust and the mesh is very comfortable making it a good temperature at all seasons. I use it for sewing and it has made a big difference in my posture and comfort. I am 5'6' but that should be only a very loose guideline for you as leg and torso length can be very different. It works for me and I am very happy. Be sure you try it out to see if it will work for you

Like the chair except for the headrest. It is positioned more at the top of the shoulders so I removed it. Rest of chair is good.

The Hyken chair offers a large amount of customization. The mesh style seat for me is very supportive. The chair tilts and can lock in place which many chairs do not offer and it does so with ease. The head/neck rest is fantastic as many office chairs don't give any support for your head/neck if you are anywhere above 5'10". The only thing that I dislike about this chair is the arm rests. The armrests are adjustable in height but they material itself has very little give (no real padding/cushion) and can feel a bit uncomfortable to the arms after longer periods of use.
