The Hyken Technical Mesh chair is a super value for the price. It's far superior to many of the slightly less expensive office chairs on the market in that it provides hours of comfort - the mesh seat is cool the lumbar support is well designed and the headrest is perfect for laying back and relaxing. It is adjustable in all of the critical points; seat height armrest height tilt (it literally reclines) lumbar and headrest setting. It's very sturdy (no problem for my 6'-3" 225# frame) and wheels easily and silently. In short it's a terrific task chair for anyone who will spend hours at their desk.
I like the chair. The assembly required that I use a ratchet wrench with the correct Allen head adapter to successfully tighten the Allen screws. Fortunately I had the tools to do this.
I purchased this chair in red and I absolutely love it! I am 5'2" and the chair is extremely comfortable and fits my body well. This is a big deal because being short most things don't adapt as well to my body. They seem to be made for bigger people. The adjustments for the headrest height and lumbar support couldn't be more perfect. It is also a nice looking chair. The chair came very quickly even though I ordered it over a holiday weekend. In addition it was very easy to assemble. Staples did a wonderful job on this order!
I was at Staples for over an hour looking at all the different chairs. This one is amazing. After having it at home for over a week now its still great. Highly recommend.
I bought this chair two years ago. It has been the best work chair for my back; sciatic nerve pain has not returned since I have been using it! I sit in it up to 4-6 hrs a day with occasional little breaks 5-6 days a week. It is very comfortable for me. I did have to get used to the seat curving up at the sides (no no part of me hangs over the sides of the seat!) with a little more pressure at the sides of my thighs than I like but it does not cause any pain or discomfort. The mesh has held up well. It is so supportive and it is cool. It does not sag. I do wish the chair reclined more than it does; only about 45 degree angle. The back does recline separate from the seat so your feet stay on the floor. The head/neck rest does adjust height contrary to what others have said. And it rotates to adjust to a sitting perpendicular or reclining position. The lumbar adjustment slides up and down to position it for your back. The arms do not tighten up solid so they wobble a little and make noise. Recently the pneumatic seat adjustment stopped holding the chair in the height position you set. It slowly sinks to the lowest position. This chair has a 7 yr manufacturers limited warranty. I called the Staples.com CS warranty number 800-425-0049 and was promply helped by a courteous and knowledgeable person. A replacement pnuematic part is being sent to me and he emailed me a video that shows how to replace it. I am so please so far!
