It’s March 2020 and I am working from home. No surprise there. However my old desk chair was just a dining chair with a padded back and after two days of working on that my back could no longer take it. So I made an impulse buy and got the Heken Mesh. It’s not as good as my Aeron chair at work but for only $200 or so (got it on sale) it’s almost as good. I did have to remove the arms entirely though because they were too narrow and too high for me. But I have nerve issues in both arms and never really use arm rests anyway. I’m just glad the arms aren’t integral to the rest of the construction. Overall my back is much happier now.
Staples' service gets 5 stars - extremely fast delivery and friendly driver. The chair is ok not bad and not great. The comments made by others about the headrest being too low are correct. I'm 6' 180 lbs the headrest hits my upper back when I sit upright if I slouch it's about right I'll probably remove it as others have done. Overall the chair is fairly ergonomic and provides decent support other than that it's not super comfortable. I'm trim and find the armrests to be a bit too close together not a deal breaker but I prefer them to be a bit further apart. The armrests are also a bit too hard I sometimes have tendinitis in my left elbow and it hurts to rest it for long on the armrest. Assembly was easy and the instructions were clear. I would probably consider other chairs before buying this one again.
Sat in a few different chairs and while there was one that was $200 more and very comfortable for the savings this one is almost as comfortable and includes head support. Great chair for the price!
