Battery no longer holds charge

I bought this Samsung Ring about a year ago, and unfortunately it has become completely unusable. The battery no longer holds a charge at all.
When I put the ring in the charging case, it may show 89% or even 100% charged. But as soon as I take it out of the charger, the battery immediately drops to 0% and the ring dies. Sometimes, while it is still in the charger, the battery percentage also drops extremely fast.
At this point, I can only see a battery percentage while the ring is sitting in the charger. The moment I try to actually wear and use it, it shuts off. For a product that is only about a year old, this is very disappointing, especially considering the price.
I expected the battery to last much longer than this. Unfortunately, I can no longer use the ring at all because it will not hold any power.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hey there Chappi, Thank you for taking the time to share your insights with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. We appreciate your sentiments as we continue to innovate while making improvements on our product line to align with the needs of our customer base. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on your device for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ which is similar to an extended warranty and an insurance package combined. It can provide protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It could cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ truly offers you the ultimate peace of mind when it comes to protecting your investment. Our partners at UbreakIfix are also available to assist you with any repair needs you may have. We understand how frustrating you may feel to have a device that is not performing as expected. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring is able to last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. Please take a moment to check out the resources shared below to help resolve what you've described to be experiencing. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love my Galaxy Ring! Sleek, comfortable, and surprisingly powerful for such a small device. The sleep tracking is amazing, the design is beautiful, and I barely notice I’m wearing it. 🔥💍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this ring. It supplies much needed information about my health activities and sleep readings. Very accurate, I just wish it could somehow read blood pressure, though that is not available because of its location.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the galaxy ring thinking it'd be the least obtrusive health monitor device and im surprised I was wrong, at least for me. Im finding it need to remove it for skin care and wearing it on my index finger I actually hurt my face if I forget and splash water to refresh my face. So I remove for skin care and cooking cleaning kitchen and food prep.
I have a fitness band that I was comparing to the galaxy ring and I've found i appreciate the Samsung health app more than my fitness band app. I was using Samsung health for a long time before I began using any fitness measurement devices. So I was familiar with recording my hiking walking and bicycling.
Overall I appreciate the app that accompanied my ring and the ring measures and presents my data well. It's just a bit more noticeable in my daily routine than I assumed it would be. I sized and bought for my index finger but you might consider trying to size and briefly wear one on middle finger and you might find it blending into your routine less noticeably perhaps.
Bought it to track my sleep and workouts and it does neither. The charging case loses battery even when you're not charging the ring. Biggest waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi OohGotty, Thank you for taking the opportunity to review your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Your Samsung Galaxy Ring may not be tracking sleep or workouts due to incorrect orientation, loose fit, disabled app settings, or temporary synchronization glitches. The LED and sensor indentation/markers on the inner side of your ring should face the palm side of your finger; if it rotates upside down during sleep, the sensor contact may not track properly. The fit of your device is also very important. A loose ring can lose skin contact. We suggest to wear it snugly on your index or middle finger and to wipe away sweat, dirt, or lotion from the inner sensors with a soft cloth. Next, open the Galaxy Wearable app and check that automatic health and workout detection features are toggled on. Verify that Samsung Health has unrestricted battery permissions and isn't restricted by power-saving modes. Then, open the Samsung Health app and manually refresh the data by pulling down on the home screen. Toggle Bluetooth, restart your phone, or disconnect and reconnect the ring via the Galaxy Wearable app. If data remains missing, perform a soft reset or factory reset of the ring through the Galaxy Wearable app. Please take a moment to review the resources shared below to help resolve what you've described to be experiencing. Let us know afterward if we can assist you further by contacting Samsung Support. Thank you for being a dedicated Samsung customer. - Debra

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very happy with my galaxy ring for the first 6 months, then I started to notice the battery life just wasnt what it was when I bought it. Now its to the point where a full charge hardly gets me through an 8 hour shift at work. The battery degrades faster than anything ive ever owned before.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are truly innovative in comparison to the AirPod pros. The noise cancelling features are intuitive and the balance in the EQ is great. Call quality is sharp and even in noisy environments people can hear me clearly. The new LIVE translation is fast and clear. The battery is great too I've gone a week or more at times without having to charge them. Great design and great buds overall.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used an Oura ring previously and although it was good it didn't integrate as well with the Samsung system. This Galaxy ring truly gives insights that are easy to read and don't cost me a monthly subscription to use. The AI tips as well help with the sleep coaching in the Health app that with wearing the Ring and watch it gives me a complete picture of my health. I'm on my second ring due to a battery issue in the first but I would gladly get another with the performance this ring has had.
