Horrible battery life
on September 4, 2026

Ring wasngreat during the warranty period and then just stopped holding a charge. As soon as I take it off the charger, it reads 99% battery and it's down to 50% in a few hours. It doesn't make it through the night so it's useless for sleep tracking.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Battery failed twice — Samsung refused replacement
on September 4, 2026
Posted by: Seeny13
Bought expecting all-day battery. It couldn’t last a full day. Samsung already replaced it once under warranty for low-battery/power failure; the replacement did the same within months. Support and a supervisor refused coverage again and pushed a paid repair instead. Can’t recommend it.

Battery
on September 2, 2026
Posted by: Savannah

The ring was great up until I had it for a few months, and then the battery began draining very quickly. I got warranty replacement, and now the replacement is doing the same and draining from a full charge down to half in a day or two. It's frustrating to pay so much for something that is only good for roughly one year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good day Savannah,
Thank you for sharing your sentiments with us regarding your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Your constructive feedback is invaluable to us as we continue to innovate while making improvements on our product line to align with your needs. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ that is similar to extended warranty and an insurance package combined that provides protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It would cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ offers you that peace of mind when added to your eligible devices. With the Galaxy Ring, you're able to slip your device on and forget it with a seven-day charge that won’t slow you down. Combined with a full cradle charge, you can use Galaxy Ring for up to 14 days without plugging into an outlet. Please take a moment to review the resources provided below to help resolve what you may be experiencing with your device. If you have any questions for us afterward or if you would like any further assistance, please feel free to reach out to Samsung Support. Thank you for being a faithful Samsung customer.

Battery Life

As said in almost every other review on here 12 - 16 months and the ring is pretty much an ornament. Won't stay charged and lucky for all the warranty is out. Won't be replacing this with alike.

Bummer
on August 28, 2026

I initially LOVED the ring for both the ease of tracking and the long battery life, however the battery life tanked after using for about 10 months. As of today (about 16 months of ownership and usage) the battery goes from 100% to 0% in a matter of hours. I contacted support and they weren't able to help other than suggesting I verify software is up to date. Really disappointed in the quality of this product.

Greetings Maggie,
Thank you for sharing your candor with us regarding your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Your sentiments provide valuable insights that will assist us with improving our product line to better align with the needs of our customer base. We understand how frustrated you may be feeling to have a device no longer performing up to expectations. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring is able to last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. For your convenience, I have included some helpful resources down below for your review. If you would like further assistance after reviewing those resources, please feel free to reach out to Samsung Support at your earliest convenience. Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer.

Broken after a year

Ring died after a year and a few months. Autoupdating the firmware caused the ring to have a completely broken battery that does not hold a charge for more than 2 hours. Basically useless. I will be trying another smart ring brand.

Useless after 1 year.

At first, I loved this ring. After 1 year and 4 months, the battery no longer holds its charge for longer than 24 hours. $400 for something that lasts a year. Very disappointing.
