Major Battery Degradation - Total Waste of Money

Absolute garbage. The battery died after just a few months of use. Sleep tracking is a joke—it stops recording the second you move in the morning and won't capture any sleep if you go back to bed. You can't manually update it to fix the errors. The only good thing is that there’s no subscription, but that's because the product doesn't work long enough to justify one. Avoid at all costs.

Howdy Stephanie, Thanks for reaching out to share your thoughts with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Your constructive feedback allows us to continue making improvements on our product line, based on consumer feedback. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on your device for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ which is similar to an extended warranty and an insurance package combined. It can provide protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It could cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ truly offers you the ultimate peace of mind when it comes to protecting your investment. Our partners at UbreakIfix are also available to assist you with any repair needs you may have. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring can last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. To prevent damage to your device, avoid wearing other metal rings on the same or adjacent fingers, and remove the ring when handling heavy, hard, or abrasive objects. If you would like to share additional feedback with us or if you would like further assistance after reviewing the resources shared below, please feel free to reach out to Samsung Support at your leisure. While the Galaxy Ring is a neat concept when it’s actually functioning, the long-term ownership experience has been incredibly frustrating. I’ve gone through two of these now, and the hardware simply doesn’t seem built to last. The Issues: Poor Battery Lifespan: My biggest grievance is the battery reliability. My first ring failed within the first year. The replacement fared even worse, failing almost exactly one month after the warranty expired. It seems there is a consistent issue where the battery gives out around the 15-month mark—a sentiment I’ve seen echoed in numerous forums and user complaints. Build Quality: For the price point, the ring feels surprisingly cheap. The initial "cool factor" of the data wears off quickly, and after about three months, I found myself stopped checking the app entirely because the insights didn't feel worth the hassle. Value for Money: Between the hardware failing twice and the lackluster build, I cannot recommend this. It feels like an expensive prototype rather than a polished, durable wearable. Bottom Line: Unless you’re comfortable replacing your tech every year, I’d suggest looking elsewhere. The battery issues alone make this a poor investment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The samsung ring was a excellent purchase it enabled me to monitor my sleep, steps, and linked it with my employer fitness plan. Love the samsung ring.
I loved my Samsung Ring until it died just a couple of weeks before warranty expired. By the time I reported it it was too late. I want a new one but I cannot even trade in my 1 year old ring yet. Can't swallow the loss.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Ring to compliment my watch with samsung health. The first Ring I bought was great. It worked great, however the charging part stopped working within the year I bought it. As far as what it tracks and monitors. It does do a wonderful job especially since there is no subscription needed. I did wish I had a way of connecting it to my Libre 3plus CGM as I am diabetic T2. Now, I had to send in my Ring to be fixed, but the part needed to fix it was not in stock so I was given a full refund. I did end up getting another Ring, it was a customer return from Best Buy. However, that too had charging issues. I only had that Ring less than 3 months before I noticed it was not holding a charge. I am not sure if this is a common issue, but unfortunately I am now stuck with a 2nd Ring that doesn't work. I don't want to go through the same processes to get my money back so I am out the $200+ for the returned Ring as Best Buy will mot take it back for a refund. I ended up purchasing an Oura and have been pretty satisfied with it.
