No more dog hair on carpet!

Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for giving me this vacuum to test and review! It's been amazing at getting dog hair off my average length carpet! It maneuvers easily, fluffs the carpet and the lights make it easy to see under things. I used the lower level carpet setting most of the time as it seemed to work better than the high carpet setting. The only thing it didn't work as great on was my kitchen and front door rugs. The brushes didn't seem to be able to get down that low. The suction without the brushes wasn't amazing, so on hardwood floors it misses some hair, but to me that's ok because of the amount it got out of the rest of my carpets. It's pretty average weight as far as vacuums go. To empty it is super easy and easy to clean. The rollers are necessarily tangle free, but it's a lot easier to cut the hairs out of this roller than it has been for any other vacuum I've used. The lift off feature wasn't amazing for me. I don't really think I ever had a NEED to use it but it could be convenient for some people. The allergen system was great and it was amazing to see how much stuff this filter traps. With three shedding dogs it was amazing. I even tested a spot by first vacuuming with a top of the line vacuum and then going over it again with this Bissell and I was amazed how much more it was able to pull off of my already "cleaned" carpets. One thing I wish is that it had a longer cord and more attachments for doing furniture/small spaces, but overall one of my favorite vacuums. I am replacing our costly commercial grade vacuums with all new Bissell multiclean allergen lift off vacuum cleaners. They have great suction, easy to maneuver and no bags to deal with.

I love this vacuum - it feels clean after I use it without going over the same spots excessively. It is easy to use and I like that the head rotates/flexes easily so you don't have to jerk around the body of the vacuum so much. If I were to change one thing, it would be to include that piece of machinery where the cord gets sucked into the vacuum body vs. having to tie it around the knobs.

Excellent product for homes with long-haired pets and people

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having 2 long-haired means my house seems to be always covered in a layer of fur. This machine is great for removing it all. I vacuum the floor, lift the canister and go right down the stairs to the couch, cleaning it all. The fur remover attachment works perfectly for this. The headlight helps me see all the dirt, like kitty litter and sewing threads, so I know I get everything. As an added bonus, my long hair doest get tangled in the brush head. I wish the hose was either a bit longer or stretched easier. Not a deal breaker though, as the canister is light enough to carry around while vacuuming.

This vacuum is more powerful than what some reviews suggested it might be, and the dirt hopper is easy to empty. Performance on hard surfaces is also better than what I expected. The "headlights" reveal a lot of dirt I wasn't aware of. As for downsides: I thought it would be lighter and easier to steer than it is. The 'edge cleaning' is not great (needs follow-up work). But where it comes to removing cat hair and soil from carpet, it's better than average so I've given four stars instead of three.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My other vacuum cleaners did not pick up the cat hair that was deep in the carpet, but the Bissell Vacuum Cleaner did the job. Easy to use and easy to clean out. I only wish that I had a battery powered one that did the same job.
