Aweful product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this product for vacuuming twice a week and so far it's tangled two out of the three times I've used it. It gets to the point where the hair collects on the sides of the brush and you start to smell a little burning rubber from the belt so you have to take the entire front end apart to fix it. What really stinks is the hair gets into the hardest to reach places I have never had this much trouble with a vacuum before my shark was way easier to use and didn't clog like this!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've really enjoyed the Bissell Multiclean Allergen Lift-OFF Pet Vacuum thus far. I have 2 young, messy boys and 1 dog, so my floors often need a daily vacuuming. This vacuum does the job of cleaning floors, as expected, but what I like the most is the ability to lift off the top section for getting under things - where somehow my boys & dog always seem to get the dirt. The lift off also allows me to easily clean the stairs without lugging the whole vacuum with me. I have long hair and always hate how my hair wraps around vacuum brushes. I haven't had this issue with this vacuum yet and I'm so thankful. I also like the ease of emptying the canister. I simply take it outside to my trash can, push a button to empty and done. This is definitely a great vacuum for anyone that uses a vacuum daily. It's lightweight, low maintenance and has useful extra tools. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this vacuum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Is great! I had an outdated canister model, not Bissell, that finally gave up. I have had Bissells in the past so thought I would try. So far, it has been outstanding! Super light and easy to operate. I LOVE the light on the front. I saw more dog hair than ever before with that light. I honestly didn't realize how bad my vacuum cleaner was! This thing did an amazing job on the floors and the rugs, I had so much hair in the canister from one room that I could have made a new dog. I am so thrilled I got this!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the vac almost 3 weeks. It was to replace a vac that burnt out the beater bar motor. I have 3 dogs & 2 that shred so I mostly use it on a couple of area rugs most every day. Went back to a corded , bagged vac for a few weeks. This vac picked up dog hair a lot better & did not get dog hair wrapped around the beater bar. I tried the vac only on the solid floors & it seemed to pick up well.I did seem to find more dirt than before. I am used to using the air compressor to clean out the filter & that was easy. Have not tried washing it out yet. The small head with beater bar worked very well. The lights worked; but showed more in the corners than I wanted to see. I'm very happy so far.

I really love the ease of the lift off when I need to clean the stairs, however the attachment for the handheld quit working/spinning after the first use. Very disappointing. The vacuum does its job even for a house of 3 cats and 2 dogs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not one to write a review, but spending a decent amount for a good vacuum was inevitable. Though I am highly disappointed with this vacuum for two reasons: 1- "Multi-Surface" - Not so much. If you are using it for carpets/rugs, it works great; however, if you are using it on hardwood/tile you might as well go back to a broom and dustpan. It does not clean up dirt/litter very well. It will take you multiple passes, but will still leave debris unless you create a pile and use the wand to clean up. 2- "tangle-free" - Meh! I was looking forward to this feature as my previous vacuum lacked in this area. Though the brush roll still was full of hair (see pics). When and if you don't live with a lot of hair, it has no problem staying tangle free, though it would if you don't have to worry about hair. Though if you have shedders or multiple women in your house hold, look for a different vacuum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used mainly for pet hair. Also really like the portable brush attachment for the stairs and hard to get to places. I really like the capability to dismantle easily to use as a handheld vac. for corners, high places and celling fans. The only negative thing is it is a little heavy but well worth investment.
