Does really well picking up fur as well as the debris brought in from the yard by our dog and our son's dog we keep during the week. We decided to try Bissell as we have been really satisfied with their carpet shampooer we purchased a few years ago - plus the fact that something has broken, or just quit working, on our previous two vacuum cleaners within the first two years (non-Bissell). Won't mention a brand name, but it rhymes with "Bryson".

The swivel head takes a little getting use to, but definitely handy.. Plenty of suction power. Thank you Bill

I just ordered my second one, because my first one started shocking me, & I am not sure why, but I have two dogs that are mostly inside dogs, & I can't live without another one. I think my first one was around 5 or 6 years old.
