This is by far the worst vacuum I've ever purchased in my life. I've had this vacuum for a little over a year now and have tried convincing myself it's sufficient. I find myself having to go over the same spots numerous times to in the end picking it up by hand and carrying around debris while I vacuum. The suction on this vacuum is terrible to say the least. I wasn't going to write a review thinking I was misusing the product, but reading other reviews with the same issue convinced me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compared to an animal ball dyson. The suction could be better but it seems to clean well. It doesn't vibrate the floor very much and seems quiet compared to the dyson. I like the fact that I can break down the bissell and clean the dust bin. I don't have to stick my hand in the bin to empty it. Using the hose is soooooo much easier. It's lighter but I'd take heavier for more suction. Lights! It has lights on the head! I'm a house cleaner with pets and allergies. I love my new bissell. Four stars because I haven't had it long enough for five. #sweepstakes I'd love to replace my old Hoover carpet cleaner with a bissell as well. I happily took my dyson that still works well to the trash. It stinks when running because you can't clean the bin completely. All the dust and dander is stuck in the "tornado" cambers or whatever they call it. Taking it apart....it's not designed to do that far down. Forget trying to use the hose. My model has a magnetic hose. That combined with the suction make it a massive pain to use. Including everything you have to flip and open just to get the hose out. Rug on top of carpet? Skip your workout for the day. You can't push it. Suction is good but that's overkill and no one wants to have that much hassle doing housework. I'll never buy dyson again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this a little over a month and I have to constantly take the roller off and clean out all of the random spots that hold all of the hair. Today I was vaccuming and I smelled something burning. Sure enough there was hair under the roller that connects it to spin and it was charred black. Waste of money.
