Good Concept, Lacking Suction

I had high hopes for this vacuum when I got the chance to test it out through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I've had vacuums from this brand before, and always thought they worked well. I was especially excited to try out the lift away system, and was pleasantly surprised with how well that feature worked. It was light weight, had plenty of hose length, and a very long power cord which allowed me to move around more freely and reach all areas. However, the suction of this vacuum is lacking. It does not perform well on hard surfaces, and left debris on carpeted areas as well. Since my primary concern for any vacuum is the suction, I can't rate this product as high as I had hoped. However, it's not all bad, and I would like to highlight some of the positive features. The bright LED lights were a great addition and really helped me avoid sucking up toys and hair clips when cleaning my children's room, especially under the bed and furniture. The container was easy to empty and kept everything contained and clean, and the tangle free brush head worked well too. I'll definitely use this vacuum for the lift away feature on my stairs, but I hope the suction can be improved. I will say that the suction on the pet attachment was very strong, but it didn't translate to the floor suction.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] #sweepstakes -because why not! ;) Although I have only used it a few times it seems to have good suction, if you pick it up by the canister you can hear it lose a little of the suction. So for stairs you should use the wand. I clean houses for people so I needed a vacuum that fit in my trunk- I got this one because it comes apart- but thankfully it fits in one piece. I wasn't impressed with the job it did on hard floors but will have to try it again sometime.

Not great suction

I have owned a few Bissell vacuums and have always been satisfied with the results they gave. However on this newest vacuum, I am a little disappointed. The vacuum does a great job on carpets, however, on hard surfaces it leaves a lot to be desired. It does not get very well in edges and the suction is not that great. I have had to run over spots a few times and still won't pick up the dog hair or debris. Needless to say, my time vacuuming has increased trying to vacuum the hard surfaces. If you have carpets I would recommend this vacuum, if you have hard surfaces or both, keep looking.

It does a Fanta job and she is so happy. I have several different Bissell machines and love them all. They are wonderful products.
