We have three dogs & two small children so having a good vacuum for all their messes is a must for our household! Having a Lift-Off tank is terrific as it makes the machine lighter to carry when cleaning around edges of rooms where pet hair & all the grass/leaves they bring in on their fur tends to accumulate. I also remove the foot piece when vacuuming the furniture with the Pet TurboEraser Tool or using the dusting brush/crevice tool for our high air intake vents and ceiling fan blades. I LOVE that the tools attach directly to the vacuum tank so they're always handy. Having the dusting brush and crevice tool be options for the same piece eliminates having extra parts to keep track of which is lovely. The Pet TurboEraser Tool works best with the handle on the "low carpet" setting - otherwise, there's not enough suction power to get the brush to rotate. It worked AMAZING the first time I used it & I was super impressed. I love it for cleaning our carpet stairs - I detach the foot piece to make it lighter to carry up with me. After a few uses though, the brush in the TurboEraser Tool was barely turning so I took it apart and cleaned out the hair that had accumulated inside. A seam-ripper (usually for sewing projects) is helpful for cutting off tangled hairs/strings. I watched a helpful video of how to service this piece on the Bissell website under "TurboEraser Maintenance". The light on the foot is impressively powerful - I could even vacuum without an overhead light on if I wanted to! Great for when I'm cleaning between furniture and the wall & illuminates any small things hiding in the carpet. The swivel action of the foot is also superb. It makes it so easy to vacuum around obstacles. The vacuum occasionally emits a whistling noise - usually happens when lifting the entire thing over a baby gate or up onto a stair landing, but it's not obnoxious enough to detract a star. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this vacuum to try!

The Bissell Multiclean Allergen Lift-OFF Pet Vacuum has been a game changer! The vacuum arrived and within a few minutes, I had it assembled. The company made very easy instructions and the pieces just had to "pop" together before I was able to use it. SO EASY! I have used this in both my home and my car and it is now the ONLY vacuum that I use for carpeted areas. The amount of dog hair that has been pulled out of my carpets and my car floor has been amazing. It is unbelievable the amount of hair, dirt, and dust that is contained in the canister even after only a few minutes of vacuuming. The tangle-free brush holds up to it's name. I haven't had to cut any hair that was tangled inside at all and I have been using this vacuum for a month. This is the first vacuum I have owned (and I have owned some of the more popular brands of vacuums) that has truly had a tangle-free brush. I have two children, a Chocolate Lab, and a Great Pyrenees and it easily cleaned up after them! The canister was easy to empty; just hold it over a garbage can, press a button, and all the dirt and debris falls right into the garbage. Easy. The lift-off canister made it a breeze to vacuum my stairs and vehicles. I could easily bring it to the area I needed to vacuum. I gave the product four stars, only because the vacuum doesn't work as well on hard flooring as it does on the carpets. I do wish that the lift-off canister was a little more stable. I would have like to see a longer extension of the the detailing attachments to reach some tricky areas in my house and vehicle. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this vacuum in exchange for my honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this vacuum for 4 years now and it's as good today as the day I bought it. I have 3 cats and u won't even see the hair until u sweep and empty! I have the cleanview rewind before this. I thought I loved that vacuum to death until I got this one. I would buy over and over so please bissell never stop making this model!!! I have not had to replace a belt.. filters. Yes.. but that says a lot about a vacuum..
