I will not be buying a Bissell ever again

I regrettably went to Bissell after having a Shark for years. This vacuum is terrible. It does not pick up the most obvious messes and I have to run over the floor three or fours times to get it where it looks clean. I truly doubt it is picking up more than what is on the very surface of the carpet. The hose electrically shocks me profusely while I'm using it, so I have to be careful not to let the hose hit my leg while I use it. The bristles on the end of the wand are annoying and pointless. I miss my pointy wand and separate brush attachment. I have to take the entire canister apart to clean it out, you can't just stand over a bin and dump everything out, you have to clean everything out with your hand and pull out the insert and shake that out as well. The roller is not "self-cleaning". I have to unclog the roller every couple of weeks. I will not be buying Bissell again, huge disappointment!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not As Good As Past Bissell Machines

I've bought 3-4 Bissell brand vacuums in the past and have been satisfied with my purchases. I like the affordability of the product as well as the company donating to causes I care about. This most recent vacuum purchase was probably the most expensive of the vacuums I've used but feels the cheapest. I chose this specific model because it was advertised as pet hair friendly and included a HEPA filter. It's easy to move around and suction is fine but what really bothers me is the attachments. I have indoor cats so I'm constantly using the hose to get up hair and litter that is tracked around. These attachment pieces are so cheap. The bristle head attachment does not stay locked in the hose so I constantly have to adjust it or just hold it together with one hand. There is also no hose extender piece like I've had in previous models. Overall not a fan of this vacuum and will probably replace with something else soon.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Still have not tried washing the filters but continue to use the air compressor & that seems to work well. The light works well. Continue to be happy.

Had high hopes, but what a disappointment

I have been so disappointed with this unit. Bought this on sale at a big box store after researching all makes and models. My issues are poor suction, it seems weak. When using the wand/hose unit constantly falls over. The wand/hose is too short making it hard to reach a lot of areas. The crevice tool is short and movable brush has bristles that are too soft. Unit has a good headlight and noise level is fine. I love that Bissell partners with pet rescue, all of our dogs have been rescues.
It's my husband and I, so not huge amounts of dirt, just average cleaning. I have used this vacuum maybe six/seven times. If I could return this I would. I so wanted to love it, just like my old Bissell, that I bought used in 2007, but that isn't going to happen.
I so wanted to love this new vac

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with the chance to product test the Bissell Multiclean Allergen Lift-OFF Pet Vacuum. I have had many different brands if vacuums over the years and I must admit that is is for sure one of my favorites! With a 3 yr olf,2 dogs and 3 cats there is always a mess to clean up! This vaccume had amazing suction and maneuverability. The vacuum has a swivel head with a light that makes movement comfortable and easy as well as the ability to get under tables and slightly lifted areas all while seeing what you might have missed. It also has a canister which detatches from the base to allow easy movement throughout the house. Steps and baseboards were an easy lightweight clean up. Especially since I am currently pregnant and have back issues this vacuum made cleaning an easy job! The vacuum has a sealed HEPA allergen system which helps elimination of dust and dander particals. The vacuum has a tangle free brush roll and 2 in one attachment of bristle brush and nozzle. The tangle free brush worked well with great results on my steps. I was a little disappointed that the 2 in one tool kept getting clogged or kept falling into one another eliminating the ability for "separate " tool use. I also found the 2 in one to overall be a little small for the duties that were needed. Overall with the exception of the attachments this vacuum is honestly by far my favorite and a win in multiple areas. I would definitely recommend this to anyone especially those with children and pets. Is vacuum is all around the best no matter what the situation!
