[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've struggled with dog hair for years and just kinda ignored it, but this year I got fed up with using two different techniques that never really got the hair up. I read a lot of reviews and took the plunge with the Bissell. Like others said I was amazed, and disgusted, with the amount of hair and dirt I got with the first use. Love the "no bag" feature and the lift off. I've had the Bissell for two weeks and loving it so far, I hope it lasts. I like to buy good equipment and I keep it for a long time so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this one.

This vacuum I had high hopes for. It looks nice, has great LED lights and a super long cord I can get all around my house without unplugging every 5 feet. That's where it stops. The LED lights just show how much hair and dirt it does not lift. in fact it seems to ONLY lift allergens and light dust, nothing more. I went over my floors 5 times and still see hair. My last vacuum was a shark and it bit the dust after 10 years. I will be returning this and getting another shark .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great for getting out pet hair and tough dirt!

At first I thought the Bissell Pet Vacuum was just another decent vacuum. Then I tried the Turbo Pet Eraser and wow! I've honestly never seen a vacuum do what this one did. I had some very deep, dried-on dirt on a patio couch that I thought would never come out (thank you muddy dogs!) but after working at it with the Pet Eraser for 1 minute it was completely gone (see pictures)! I have two dogs and a mud-pit for a backyard so this feature is sure to get a lot of use. I'm embarrassed to admit it but the first couple times I used the Bissell I didn't realize that you could lift-off the canister, even though it says so in the name. Now that I know, I love that capability and use it all the time. It makes is very easy to suck up the dirt and flies that collect on the window sill during the summer months. I wish the hose was a little longer but that's a minor complaint since the canister is easy to lift. When using the Bissell as a regular floor vacuum it does a great job of getting dog hair off the floor and out of the rug. The tangle-free brush roll has not gotten tangled yet and the lights on the front are great at illuminating dirt and hair that I would not have seen otherwise. The head of the vacuum is not as easy to maneuver as my hand-held cordless but that's to be expected. The dirt chamber is very easy to empty and has a large enough capacity that I don't need to empty it too often. My husband has allergies so the HEPA allergen system is great for us though I can't speak to how well it works for him yet. I received the product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and am so l glad I did. I already recommended it to my parents since they often have anywhere from 1 to 5 dogs running through their house.

Leaves scuff marks on white baseboards

Great Vacuum (even if you don't have a pet!)

This is a great vacuum and I'd recommend it even if you don't have a pet! Easy to use with cool features like the lift-off feature- it made cleaning the stairs a lot easier. Easy to empty and works great for picking up cat hair and toddler messes! My husband has a lot of allergies and this helped. One small thing I would change is the cord, you have to wind it yourself but that's easy enough. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this product for free to try out.
