Better, but still can't handle long pet hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried a similar Bissell model and had issues with long pet hair getting wrapped around the ends of the roller bar. I was suggested to try the tangle free roller so I tried this vacuum as I really love the lift-off feature. To be clear, I have a long hair, double coated Border Collie and I vacuum daily. This vacuum did better than the one without the tangle free brush but unfortunately still needs daily maintenance to keep the roller brush free of hair. The left end with the belt has a hair trap and felt to block hair from getting into the belt. It also has a round fitting to slide into the frame leaving no room for hair to get caught. So the left side is always perfect. The right side has a rectangle fitting which leaves the sides of the rectangle exposed and hair to wrap around the axle coming from the center of the brush and put strain on the brush. It is better, and less hair gets trapped then the other model, but still needs to be cleaned out after every use. After a couple weeks of using and loving this vacuum, I ultimately decided that having to take the screws and roller out daily would lead to early wear and the vacuum would sadly not last. I really love this vacuum. If I had a shorter haired pet, this vacuum is a game changer with the lift-off for stairs, the lightweight design, and swivel. I am able to clean a large, carpeted home with three sets of stairs in 30 minutes. I am very sad that this can not be my vacuum.

I purchased this to use on our first floor which has one 10X10 short pile area rug in the den, the edges outside of the area rug are hardwood. The other rooms and hallway have either hardwood or stick down tile squares. We have 3 large dogs-that shed- and 2 cats. Pros-large dirt cup and headlamp, both of which were on this model. Does a decent job on the area rug. Beater bar speed control on the handle. Cons-Does not pick up dog hair well on the hardwood or tile squares. I am left with dog hair still on the floor even with the beater bar set on low. Side suction not that good. Difficult to maneuver even with the swivel head. Position of the cord on the unit is near the bottom so have to hold it in my hand with the handle to keep it from getting run over constantly.

I love it! I used to always buy Hoovers brand but the quality is not what it used to be. I'm so glad I gave Bissell a chance!! I love it more than my last favorite vacuum (Hoover) that got stolen believe it or not! It's built well, maneuvers well and picks up lots of per hair with ease! I love the ease of how it detaches to use the attachments! Very cleverly designed!!

Clunky and lacks suction power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Vacuum is lightweight and quiet. Unfortunately for quick cleaning with maximum suction power this doesn't hold up. The Combination Dusting Brush & Crevice Tool feels cheap and adds to a poor performance using this vacuum to quickly clean.

The lights are unexpectedly a gamechanger; I did not realize how much I wasn't picking up. Being able to take the tank off the main body is also really helpful for anything difficult to reach. Really impressed with this, as an owner of a dog with long fur. Hopefully it holds up, will update if not

I bought this for a second vacuum. I was disappointed that the suction is low. It doesn't pick up dirt and hair along the baseboards. The cord comes from the bottom of the vacuum and gets in the way. I kept stepping on it. I used a cord tie to attach it to the wand. Does not lift to go from floor to rug or carpet to rugs. I have to stop and pick the vacuum up and move on the rug. I love that all of the attachments are on the vacuum. The lights are good for seeing under furniture. The liftoff feature makes it easier to clean the stairs. I also have a Bissell model 1646. It has great suction, side to side cleaning. If I could take the best from both I'd have a awesome vacuum. I wish I had looked at the reviews before buying.

Our carpets and floors have especially taken quite a beating with our staying at home more, due to the recent pandemic. We were so excited to try out the Bissell Multi-clean Lift-Off Pet vacuum, that was given to us as part of the stellar product testing panel. The vacuum literally took ten minutes to put together from the box and we put it to work right away. We have since vacuumed all the floors, chairs and high surfaces of our home and would highly recommend this Bissell vacuum. It picks up dirt, hair, dust and any food particles easily in a short amount of time. It is light weight and easy to use. My husband and I especially love it's lift off feature that enables one to literally vacuum any surface and also makes the vacuum super lightweight. Vacuuming our cars in the garage has become fast and hardly a chore due to the lift-off feature of the vacuum. The led lights are an added bonus that enables one to see and vacuum any nook and cranny. The Bissell vacuum has a tangle free brush roll that works so well and doesn't get any hair or carpet fibers that one has to clean out later; it really is a thing to see and experience. The sealed HEPA allergen system is very effective and a great bonus to an amazing product that every family is sure to enjoy. Our family is really enjoying the Bissell vacuum and we would highly recommend it to anyone for a cleaner and safer home. We don't have anything negative about this product at this time.
