The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it's a bit hard to work with on carpet with a thick carpet pad. In general I think cannister vacuums have this challenge. We didn't want to have to invest in an upright for our second floor. Other than that it really picks up the dog hair well

Back to a canister vac. Love it. The power. The features. Had been using uprights for years. But thought it was time to go bag to the tried and true. Best decision for us. If you never used one, may take a few runs to get used to, but wirth it in my mind.

I expected more from a Bissell product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had Bissell canister vacuums before and they were great. I currenly have two other Bissell products that I rave about. The SpinWave electric mop and the AdaptIon Pet stick cordless vacuum. I thought, I'd like to try a canister vac, so why not Bissell. Currently, we have two small fur babies and two The positives: Easy assembly and very lightweight. It is also a lot quieter than other vacuums so there is a lot less barking and running away during use. The retractable cord and light are a big PLUS! And the variable speed buttons are handy too. It is also pretty easy to empty, but not terribly easy to clean IMO. The negatives: First, it is BULKY and takes up way too much space. There is also no way to prop the brush end up and move the vacuum around when using just the handle. I dread pulling it out because I inevitably bang it into something. There is also no place to store the crevice tool on the vacuum (which would be wonderful). The canister does fall over and gets hung up around corners and when turning even on hard surfaces. The suction using the brush handle requires a precise angle or the end will get sucked to the carpet and require a push-pull workout to move. TWhen the angle is found and the brush rolls on the floor, the suction isn't that great. It could be because it is so light and the suction is too much (but I'm not an engineer and am just guessing). Lastly, the canister is easy to empty by pushing the button to open the bottom. However, there is always a lot of dust/dander/grit that sticks to the inside and needs washed. Having a brush or pad to wipe down between washings would be good. Also being able to separate the outer clear plastic from the internal part would make it easier to clean (similar to how the AdaptIon Stick 'canister' is disassembled and cleaned). I really wish this product worked out. I am going to be selling it to someone that may like it better and fix my heavy old Kenmore upright.

Terrible. No suction

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worse vacuum cleaner I've ever had. And I had one of those very cheap, simple ones. It has more suction than this. This doesn't even suck obvious things on the floor. It's useless and frustrating.

Love the canister that you can actually see all doghair collected and easy dumping. The light on the end of vacuum is a great help to see with those dark/hard to reach areas. The only downfall is the attachment brush included is entirely too small! Would love a bigger wider brush to assist with vacuuming of furniture.

The Pet Eraser removed ALL the hair. I emptied the canister after vacuuming about one third of a carpet and I could have made 2 additional cats. THANK YOU!!!!
