DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE

I have been sewing for almost 50 years and have never had such a horrible machine. I recently purchased it and within one day it was jamming. I have a huge blister on my thumb from trying to get the turn wheel to go (there was NO thread or lint obstructing anything). My nearest authorized dealer is located almost 200 miles from my home. I have returned the machine for a full refund. I don't know if the features listed actually perform as I couldn't get the machine to actually sew! I would have been a good value if it had worked. You need to remove the word HEAVY DUTY from the product name!

I bought the 4411 machine in June, used it a couple of days for a VBS project. Used it the second time in October, it locked up while sewing, I couldn't turn the wheel and neither could the lady at the store. The store replaced it with a new machine. Used the second machine a few days and it kept making a funny noise off and on. The lower thread kept getting all balled up and it was the same thread I used in the first machine which worked in that aspect. I took that machine back for a refund. Haven't received check yet, but it is coming by mail. Buy something else.
My machine arrived about 1 1/2 weeks ago. I've used it off and on for a total of maybe 2 hours. Today it started acting up and will not stitch. It appears the feed dogs are pulling the material to the side and down and the thread is getting caught underneath. I do not have a manual. Just a instruction flyer for basic use (threading needle, bobbin insertion, etc). My advice? Unless you know how to fix sewing machines, spend your money elsewhere.

GREAT MACHINE

Phenomenal piece of machinery that last the test of team. Can handle up to 3 layers of heavy duty canvas.
I’ve used it with canvas, leather, jersey and fleece and I’m happy with the result. I like being able to change the pressure on the presser foot to go through thick or thin layers and the speed it has. I’m not sure if this machine is going to last decades like my vintage machine and that’s why I give it 4 stars.
Not the right machine for me. I assumed heavy duty meant ability to handle heavy duty sewing. In my short time using the machine, it was more industrial than heavy duty. Not easy to thread the bobbin, foot lever on back (prefer side), and the hand wheel was stiff and required additional pull. One other item I wasn’t fond of, when stopping the needle would stop instantly - not finish the stitch. This required more physical use of the hand wheel. I have bad wrists and elbows dour was a deal breaker for me. On the upside, it was well built and heavy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's O.K.

For a "Heavy Duty" sewing machine, I wish the presser foot would raise higher than it does...I just learning to use this machine and bought it because it was "Heavy Duty". I'm currently working with six(6) layers and find it difficult to get all the layers under the presser foot. Also, I had intended to buy a different model, and wished this one had the auto-threading needle... I messed up threading the machine and thus, messed up the bobbin feed. Learning curve and back to the manual to follow directions. Otherwise, I'm finding this model to be an O.K./usable sewing machine for my "entry-level" projects.

This my second review on your site. You did not care about the first one, but you requested a review, so maybe. But I doubt it. I think Singer just does not want bad news. Well then change the 4411 or take it off the market. I don't understand how you can ever get a good review on it, unless they just don't use the machine. Buy a better model folks, this one is too cheap. The timing mechanism fails the first time and every time you use the machine. Top thread does not pick up the bobbin thread. The shaft where the needle goes, actually can move. The repairman has had my machine longer than me. Would have been great for the value, if it wasn't so cheap.
