This machine is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a simple MACHINE, not a computer. It is basic and has only features that I will actually use for the types of sewing I do, which is simple household projects, repairs and the occasional craft project. It's super easy to use, lightweight and so far, I haven't had a hiccup even when sewing thick fabric layers. I had considered buying one used, but the price was right for a new one. I am very happy and satisfied with this machine.

Used mainly for two layers of silk, had machine repaired 3 times in seven months. Singer is no help, promised to cover return shipping from authorized service center 100 miles away and didn't follow through. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

AMB, we are sorry that the Council Bluffs service center did not abide by the terms of the Extended Warranty Customer Care provided you. They should not have charged you for return shipping. Unfortunately you contacted our department after you had already paid the return shipping. We are working with our Service Manger to have this sort of issues resolved.

i love this machine, is very easy to use very strong and easy to fix, i had thread jam the other day and if you read the instruccions you won't have problem to fix it, just take the upper thread off the machine and rethread it again always make sure to do it in the right way like the book say. great machine for the price.
