I bought these to go behind two of our tv's that hang on the wall, they are very close to the wall. Others that I bought stuck our too far we couldn't get them behind the tv's. With a bit of adjusting, these work great.

More and more hotels have one grounded outlet located at the base of a lamp next to the bed, and the travel surge protector I have used in the past would not fit given the direction of the outlet plug. As a result, I had to move the nightstand, unplug the lamp and/or the clock, plug in my surge protector, then have to reverse all of that when I checked out. I travel quite a bit for a living. This unit is the proper choice for charging and protecting expensive electronics on the go. Compact and easy to transport. The 18" cord allows me to plug it into any hotel outlet configuration where the bar type protectors may have difficulty. The USB is extremely convenient for charging devices that are USB charge only.
