[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Knife blades are incredibly sharp, and handles appear to be of excellent quality. The block does have an extra slot. I've wanted a set of these knives and steak knives for decades and received these sets as a gift. I am elated! A little disappointed that scissors are made in China :(,
