Good knife set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We'd ordered this knife set on 08/23/20 and it arrived on 09/09/20, we considered it fast during the COVID 19 pandemic environment. The knifes are sharp, light-weighted and handles are easy to hold. I've been using American knifes from Calphalon and Martha Stuart for years and I think Zwilling Gourmet knifes are pretty sharp, light in weight and am amazed that they cut through fruit seeds neatly.
Two things to be noted: All knifes are stamped with 'Made in Germany' except for the scissors; There is one empty block slot after you put all the knifes, sharpener and scissors into the block slots.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Large chef’s has a nick along the cutting edge. Disappointing considering cost. Otherwise, knifes are sharp and enjoyable to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The knives cut like butter and are super sharp. Need to use with caution of course. The block is general which leave room for different types of knives to buy. I wish the block was a dark stained color and not too bamboo looking, but it does it’s job. There is a free space in the block for something like a Santoku knife or the like if you want to add to it. One issue we have though, our chef knife came with a slight bend at the very tip which is super dangerous when cleaning, because it snags. It also has scratches on the blade. We will have to try and get this worked out with customer service because the chef’s knife is the highlight of any knife set.

Block issues (my opinion), but GREAT knives!

These knives are amazingly sharp and present well in the block. Unfortunately, the block is the issue.
First of all, the 4 slots for the paring and utility knives are far too wide causing too much "floating". Also, the slot for the scissors is too low which causes the scissor handle to hang directly on top of the two paring knives. Since those handles are so small, the scissors just get in the way. I will say, however, that I do like the 'extra' knife-slot for a future Santoku blade. Aside from those issues with the block...NOT the knives...this set is all I've ever wanted in a set of high-end knives.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Knife set has been a treat to use. Everything came razor sharp and ready ro rock. My only complaint is with the chefs knife. The back of the knife where I would rest my middle finger is actually quite sharp and can make cutting for long periods uncomfortable. I have to shift my grip to either have my whole hand on the handle or just a large gap from where I'm pinching the back of the blade to the rest of my fingers on the handle. All of the other knives are comfortable though!

this is the perfect assortment of knives for my kitchen. i do a lot of detail work so having all 3 different kinds of parers, the birds beak is usually the most difficult to find so kudos to Zwilling for including it. I also love that there are 2 sizes of serrated knives, one for my kiwis and tomatoes and the other for my perfectly Staub baked Sourdough boules. The knives feel so comfortable in your hand and they cut like a dream. I plan on ordering more of the steak knives cuz we tend to fight over those as a family of 6. they cut steak and pork chops easily with out having to tear at the meat.

This set is a great value! You get a full 14 piece set of German knives for a really good price. It has everything you will need, including an 8” slicing knife. This normally isn’t in sets, and it’s really useful when carving a roasted meats.
