Beautiful knife and sharp! (I've already accidentally cut myself with it - not seriously - so don't be a klutz like me). I've wanted to upgrade to some seriously quality knives and Myabi is it. Expensive, but managed to acquire a couple others at discounts. If you can afford them, they will do the job.

I’m really impressed with the quality. The blade is extremely sharp right out of the box and cuts through vegetables, meat, and fish effortlessly. It feels well-balanced in my hand and the handle is comfortable, even when prepping for long periods. The craftsmanship is beautiful — you can tell it’s made with care and attention to detail. I would definitely recommend this knife to anyone looking to upgrade their kitchen tools.

I just received the Miyabe Birchwood 5” utility knife from ZWILLING and I couldn’t be more pleased!! This is my first premium chef’s quality knife and it makes a huge difference with my cooking prep. It easily slices like butter through any prep items and makes cooking easier. I definitely recommend and will be adding more Miyabe SG2 blade knives to my cooking arsenal!!!
