[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The birchwood series is as beautiful as it is functional. I prefer a 6” blade for most kitchen chores to increase control, and this knife doesn’t disappoint. It came in handsome packaging, looks terrific, and was sharp out of the box.

This 6" Birchwood chef's knife is perfect in every way. Definitely prefer this size over the standard 8" blade. Much better control with this shorter blade, cutting and chopping no longer a chore. The SG2 steel is nice and hard, keeps a sharp edge, and is easy to maintain. The the 101 layers, and the detail on the damascus design. A true work of art! The Birchwood handle takes the knife over the top. Beauty and function in one.

Great chef knife
