Great cleaver

This cleaver is not as daunting in size, but still gets the job done of cutting through big pieces of meat, produce with little effort needed. With the Forged Premio, this has a nice feel to the handle, providing a nice weight to it. Also with the forge aspect of the knife, this is a sturdy and durable cleaver. A great addition to any kitchen.

I was looking for a cleaver, but didn't have a big budget, so I was so happy to find this great knife. I like how this is a light weight cleaver so that I don't get fatigued as much as I would if it was heavier. I also love the handle and the have it is ergonomically designed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got it specifically for Chinese cuisine and cuts veggies and meat great on first day of use. Haven’t used it much more yet but feels great and solid well built construction that I hope will last me many years.

I'm writing this review after watching my husband go to town on the chicken he wanted to grill. It scared me a bit but he had always wanted a meat cleaver so this is the one that was recommended. First of all... Its heavy, but I think that's the point, it has cut thru chicken bones like they were styrofoam, and judging by the smile on his face did some serious work on those bones. The Henckels knives have always been the best , this has now been added to the collection!

good cleaver great value

This is a very affordable good quality cleaver. The forged German steel blade cuts right through. Its not too heavy like too many cleavers that rely on weight over quality of blade to chop. The rounded handle is very comfortable to hold and I feel confident in my grip while using it. Great value.
