The 9.5-inch pan is a great size when cooking for two. Two chicken breasts, two steaks, two fillets of fish. Perfect! Enough space for caramelizing and building a pan sauce. The base of the pan stays flat so even a tablespoon of oil easily coats the entire bottom for clean healthy cooking. I can't say enough about my Demeyere Proline skillets.
I love this stuff! It has all the best parts of high-end (aka copper) cookware and it’s easy to clean! In addition to being technically sound (it cooks well; heats evenly and is responsive to temperature changes), it has bonuses that help to justify the price.
No rivets - no cleaning around those annoying little screw heads. Comfortable stay-cool handles – easy to grip and lift. Helper loops are a huge benefit. Pans looks great after years of use. The shiny exterior stays that way thanks to a special treatment. Just a note – some pans are heavy like copper, but some things can’t be helped. There's 7-layers in there for the ultimate in cooking control.
It is a good pan as far as stainless steel pans go. The no rivet design is probably going to be the future of pans as far as keeping the cooking surface cleaner goes.
I just bought it one month ago. It is my most expensive and worst pan. I am so disappointed. It is sticky and hard to wash.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for taking the time to review your purchase. Looking at the photo, it does appear that the pan may have been overheated/scorched, which can make cleanup difficult. However, if soaking and usual cleaning is not successful, you can polish this pan to its original finish with Bar Keepers Friend. In the future, you may want to lower the heat you are using as much as possible. Also, to avoid sticking, try to use an oil with a high smoke point, and wait for the food to naturally release before attempting to move or turn it. We hope this helps! Happy cooking!
This pan heats quickly and retains that heat well. It cleans easily, too. The interior shape is perfect for flipping ingredients with a flick of the wrist—although you may want to use two hands because of the weight.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My fiancé Bought this pan and two other brands equivalent for me at Christmas so we could test them head to head and decide what we wanted on our wedding registry. Demeyere atlantis won hands down. Two things were most impressive; 1st no rivets ( I personally don’t understand why this is not an industry standard ) 2nd the pan doesn’t hump in the middle when heated leaving a dry spot with no oil. Besides those points the pan just exceeds in every way, the handle doesn’t get hot, heating is even, heat retention is phenomenal, clean up is cake and it looks beautiful. WINNER!
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the best fry pan available. It holds heat well and can fry a steak better than any pan out there. This is a good size pan for 2 in the household.
We have our first piece of Demeyere Atlantis cookware, the 9.4" Fry pan, and it's fantastic. Demeyere was highly recommended by an acquaintance, and with the recommendation and the features, I decided to get one. I started with the 9.4" fry pan and am looking forward to getting more pieces. The pan heats very evenly so there are no hot spots and burning. The bottom stays flat and items cook well. Most folks would say that you can do the same thing with a much cheaper pan, but the difference in cooking with this compared to our old (not cheap or no-name stainless) was shocking. This fry pan was worth every penny!
