My fiancé Bought this pan and two other brands equivalent for me at Christmas so we could test them head to head and decide what we wanted on our wedding registry. Demeyere atlantis won hands down. Two things were most impressive; 1st no rivets ( I personally don’t understand why this is not an industry standard ) 2nd the pan doesn’t hump in the middle when heated leaving a dry spot with no oil. Besides those points the pan just exceeds in every way, the handle doesn’t get hot, heating is even, heat retention is phenomenal, clean up is cake and it looks beautiful. WINNER!

This is the best fry pan available. It holds heat well and can fry a steak better than any pan out there. This is a good size pan for 2 in the household.

Best frypan you can buy. Heavy, holds even heat, no rivets and easy to clean. But follow the instructions — heat medium-high then turn down to cook.

Perfect fry pan for two

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love 9.4” Proline fry pan. It matches all of my other Demeyere pieces. I have the 12” pan and it is large for two people. The 9.4” has taken over the primary role in the kitchen and now the 12” is saved for when family or friends come over. It’s is beautiful and functional. It heats evenly and is very easy to clean (deglaze the pan!). If there are any spots after cooking with acidic foods I simply clean with a small amount of Bar Keepers Friend. I clean by hand and towel dry immediately. I know the listing says it is dishwasher safe but I prefer to keep it shiny by hand. The pan is heavy but that is to be expected with such a thick fry pan. I am very happy with this purchase.

Looks great and cooks great. We bought this because our 12.5” was large for two people. We now use that for hosting guests and the 9.4 as our primary fry pan. It heats evenly, we just give it time on medium heat and then add oil once it’s heated. Nothing sticks and the pan cleans easily with deglazing.

This pan heats quickly and retains that heat well. It cleans easily, too. The interior shape is perfect for flipping ingredients with a flick of the wrist—although you may want to use two hands because of the weight.

Amazing heat distribution

I received a 9.5 inch Demeyere Atlantis today. Did a quick cook on some scallops just to try it out. They seared extremely evenly. Perfectly cooked to a medium rare with a nice sear. Even cooking throughout the entire surface. Cleaning was easy.

A quick note, spray butter burns fast, a vegetable or cooking oil is highly recommended for frying or browning. By keeping a low medium or medium to high heat may help this pan for better cooking and exceeds your expectations. Its 7-layer construction provides unparalleled frying, perfect browning, and guarantees exceptional heat distribution and retention.
The aluminum core, is used up to the edge so that heat is spread evenly over the entire surface of the pan. Proprietary technology ensures the base stays flat even when heated and will not warp.
