This is a great sise to make a nice casserole for 2 or a lovely side dish for a group. I also, love this pot for chilled appetizers, its small enough that it doesn't take too much space in the fridge so prepping ahead works great!

Compact cast iron piece cooks up more than it looks like.. Great Deep Burgundy colour and small spikes beneath lid keep moisture continually circulating.

I love this color, it always makes me happy to pull it out and have it on my stove. I love all of the cocottes because they have superior browing and frying capabilities and nothing sticks to the bottom of the pan. I love the spikes on the underside of the lids that continually baste your food whether in the oven or on top of the stove for a long braise. I take the cocottes straight from the oven or stove to the table for serving so I can spread that cheer that this color brings. Cleaning is easy as well and I never need to use more than a plastic mesh scrubber to get it nice and clean.

Best Iron Pot !!!!!

I use this all the time. It is super handy to reheat soups/stews, pastas, really anything. I also use it to cook rice and pasta, steam veggies in it. It is really a great size.
