This is a beautiful bread knife that will surely be passed down from generation to generation. It is super sharp and will cut with ease. It has a beautiful handle made from Birchwood. Be sure to hand wash this knife!

I have been slowly adding to my Miyabi Birchwood knife collection and purchased this bread knife a few years ago. A bread knife is one of your essential knives to have in your collection no matter what line you have. The scapel-like blade cuts perfectly though your artisan loaves, as opposed to tearing the bread and leaving all the hanging bits!

I love that this is a little longer than other bread knives I've seen, so it can go through sourdough loaves. I love the design on the blade because it is very unique and the handle is beautiful.

Best SG2 Micro-Carbide Japanese steel...hand-honed by artisans...Gently curving triple serrated blade and a real regional birch wood handle. Lots goes into this one!

This gorgeous serrated knife makes quick work of bread, tomatoes, melons......basically anything with a harder outside and softer interior. The Birchwood handle is unique with its own patterns. The Damascus style blade gives 101 layers of high carbon steel that is super sharp and stays that way. The Japanese craftsmanship is shown in every detail all the way down to the traditional Katana style watermarking by the blades edge.

I purchased this knife because I knew it would look great on my table with all the crusty breads I serve. Come to love it for so many other uses. The SG2 steel and the serrations are great for cutting melons, pineapples, onions and tomatoes. Cutting angel food cakes and sponge cake with this knife prevents crushing. I'm really surprised at all the things I am able to do with this knife and find it to be one of the most useful knives I own.
