This is a super sharp, durable, beautiful blade. The D shape handle is handsome and comfortable. Pure Japanese craftsmanship. I use this knife daily for smaller fruits and vegetables. I like to use it segmenting oranges and grapefruits. Excellent for chopping and mincing herbs.

My kind of utility steak knife!

This Miyabi Artisan 5" Utility is my go-to knife, either cutting or slicing fruits, vegetables, or a knife to slice butter. This utility knife becomes my daily steak knife, for its sharpness and narrow blade is comfortable to use for.
It's my go-to utility knife prepping food in my kitchen, blades deliver scalpel-like sharpness. Its potent core of SG2 micro-carbide powder steel is layered in a Tsuchime finish. CRYODUR blade, ice-hardened to Rockwell 63 Handle.The D shape handle and it is fabricated with special Cocobolo Rosewood pakkawood, it is so comfortable in your hand my family enjoy using this knife.

Artfully hammered finished blade and rosewood handle of Artisan are simply beautiful. The blade profile of this knife permits use as a paring knife for something small, while the length makes it more maneuverable than a chef knife. Excellent utility knife!

This utility knife is great for small projects that need more than a paring knife. Use it to mince garlic, chop shallots and herbs.
The hand hammering on the blade is really stunning and makes food fall off the blade easily. D shaped handle feels smooth and secure and balanced in either the left or the right hand. Keeps its sharp edge for many uses with proper handling and occasional sharpening.

An all around great utility knife that is good for so many tasks. The MIyabi Artisan line gives you both beautiful and super-functional knives for every job. The hammered blade makes the food not stick and gives you both sharpness and durability. The pakkawood handle is beautfiul, comfortable and easy to grip. Red and brass details make it all the more stunning!
