Great multi-purpose knife

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first knife purchase in many years. It's wonderful to have a new, very sharp knife. Handle is comfortable in my hand; blade size is perfect for most tasks. Highly recommend!

Not too shabby!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This knife is quite sharp right out of the box. I'm more accustomed to a heavier 8" chefs knife, so the smaller and lighter knife will take some getting used to. The first thing I used my new 5.5" prep knife on was a sweet onion. I was unable to slice through the onion as I normally would. Instead, I had to saw through the onion and it was a bit unwieldy with the thin blade. Chopping and dicing the onion wasn't too enjoyable with this knife either. Next I I sliced and diced a fresh 3 × 6 tomato and it was simply wonderful. For my final test I sliced a lime into wedges and again it was a joy to use. So, this certainly will not be replacing my chef knife. It will, however, be a nice addition to my collection and I'll probably use it every day at work and often at home.

The Classic knife line is well, Classic.
Well balanced, 3 rivet handled with a full bolster this is a great knife to have in your kitchen.
Made from German steel in Spain this is a great knife for the value.
This serrated prep knife designed by Christopher Kimball is a great addition to any knife collection. Use this for tomatoes, citrus fruit, salami and small loaves of bread.
I would recommend this to a friend!
