Perfect for the job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a very heavy cleaver to help chop vegetables. This hits the spot. It is too heavy and thick a blade for work that requires delicate use of a blade, in my view, but it is perfect for something where you want a lot of mass coming down pretty fast. Blade has a slight curve, which I also find useful for getting the blade up and down quickly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had originally registered for a different cleaver but my aunt asked if i could take that item off of my registry because she had been using a cleaver for years that she loved. This was the cleaver she was talking about! We haven’t used it yet but my aunt is an incredible chef so I have no reason to doubt that it’s an amazing piece of equipment!

Great for the basics.

I grew up around cleavers and nakiri knives. My grandmother used them, my mother uses them and now I use them. This Pro cleaver is an extremely well made, brilliantly designed cutting implement. The steel is fabulous and the edge holds. The handle and grip are right for heavier work - think breaking down a kabocha squash. It is a sure thing when you are doing lots of cutting to do. I recommend a Pro Nakiri or better yet a Miyabi Artisan Nakiri to go with this. Then you have fine slicing covered as well.

Great quality knife that looks like a cleaver

Great quality no question about that.
But for a Pro knife coming from Zwilling's, this knife is a disappointment.
If you guys are so tied up to the style of knife you used to make, Just stop calling yourselves masters in the knife-making industry and keep make the knifes you knew how to make.
You guys should really do better if you are what you advertise instead of putting a random knife's edge on a more square stock.
But for a Pro knife coming from Zwilling's, this knife is a disappointment.
