The Perfect Chinese Chef Knife

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I surprised my mom with the 7 inch Zwilling Chinese Chef’s Knife while she was prepping for tonight’s dinner with her usual old beat up knife. She absolutely LOVES it! She keeps telling me how easy it is for her to slice through thick vegetables and how little strength and effort she has to apply with this knife compared with her other knives. I recommend anyone to buy this knife be it for the occasional chef or for the daily chef. My mother prepares food 3 times a day for the entire family with this knife and will continue using it until it breaks! (Which seems like its going to take a hundred years with how sturdy it feels!)

Outstanding knife

I bought this knife two years ago and have yet to need to sharpen it. I am not a professional chef but I do enjoy cooking, so this knife have seen its fair share of action. I love the weight and the grip and of course that German steel and workmanship.
The only thing I dislike about this knife is that the knife's thickness makes it clumsy to do delicate work like slicing horizontally. Traditional Chinese chef's knives tapers off from much higher on the body, giving it a lower edge angle.
Having said that, the combination of good steel and additional thickness at the edge makes it much (MUCH) more resilient than my Japanese knife.
If you are looking for a workhorse of a knife, you have just found it.

Sturdy Vegetable Knife

This knife isn't for everyone because of it's size and weight. But for me, it's great for chopping large, hard vegetables. The sharpness of the blade requires little effort to cut through most anything. The curved bolster ensures that I hold it correctly which is key to proper cutting. I'm not a chef, just a mom, but weilding this I feel a certain amount of power.

Cuts like a butter knife

An excellent Knife

It’s really an excellent knife for me to prepare my Chinese dishes. Shape and flexible for chopping vegetables and meats. Reasonable weight even for a lady. As a full time mother, it do helps me a lot in the efficient way as it fulfilled over 90% of my cooking needs.

Another great knife from the Pro line. This one will cut through the toughest rinds - melons & Winter squash, plus much more. . . beets, carrots, onions, etc. Feels a bit heavy, but that also makes it sturdy and strong. With a curved bolster, it gives me a better grip and less tired fingers than without. Well worth the price!

The go to BBQ knife
