This knife is perfect for quick jobs in the kitchen. Its made from German Special Formula Steel, also forged from one piece of steel so durable for a lifetime. Its also ice hardened so blade will stay sharper for a longer period of time. The handle is comfortable and lightweight, a nice option compared to other heavy handle knives.

Unique knife for every little job

I have never seen a knife like this before! I love using this prep knife instead of a paring knife because it gives me knuckle clearance when I'm cutting. I also love how comfortable this handle is and the curve at the end makes for a really good grip while cutting.

Love the balance on this forged, prep knife. Broad blade makes it even more useful. Zwilling's best, no-stain, durable steel. Stays sharp for a long time.

This is a relatively new shape that is rapidly becoming everyone's favorite. Most of the time, we just don't need a big knife to handle the simple tasks of making a salad or a sandwich. Enter the 55.5-inch prep knife. It is lightweight, easy to maneuver like a paring knife but with enough width and length to slice a tomato or an onion. And because it is a Four Star, it is razor sharp, will hold the edge for a long while and it will last for years and years.
There’s a reason the Four Star line has been a part of Zwilling’s lineup forever. It was designed with professionals in mind, so the focus was on safety, comfort and durability. The ‘grippy’ polypropylene handle is proportionate to the blade and the work - therefore no excess weight. The blade steel and method of construction is proprietary and at the forefront of technology. The blade can both take a beating and hold an edge, ideal for daily use and hard work.
Although dishwasher safe, all knives perform and look better if they are hand washed. I’ve had a Four Star in my collection for decades. And it still comes out for certain jobs. I expect it will be there for a while longer.
