I love this knife because it is light, thin,perfectly balanced and hugely versatile. It is the perfect prep knife. Hold it on it's handle or further up towards the blade: and you have 3 knives in one. I have given this knife as a gift twice.

A new go-to knife

Four Star is made in Germany, forged from high carbon German steel and is guaranteed to last a lifetime just like the Pro knife. Its fine edge is razor sharp and will have amazing edge retention. The molded handle is the perfect solution for someone who prefers a lighter knife but doesn't want to sacrifice quality.
The prep knife is newer knife on the scene. It's kind of a cross between a parer, utility and a small chef knife. It can handle lots of small tasks, like potatoes and apples, but is still large enough to take on an onion, celery or even cutting up chicken. I've found it to be quite handy on a meat and cheese board.

This prep knife is excellent for multiple cutting tasks. It's small enough to use for apples and potatoes yet large and sharp enough to use for onions dicing and cubing meat. It has a curved tip for a rocking motion. The steel is super sharp and remains that way use after use. It only needs to be sharpened once per year with normal use. You will like the way the Four Star handle feels in your hand it has a light yet balanced non slip feel and the slight drop on the end keeps the knife in place as you slice.

It is convenient for preparing vegetables and fruits. Zwilling knives are very high-quality tools that no kitchen should be without. Was trying to replace a knife from a very old set, where the tip had broken off the blade; this one had the most similar handle (no rivets). Very cheap knife; should have known better. We will use it, but it is not what I hoped it would be. Ordering on the internet can be deceiving.

This is a perfectly sized little knife for all sorts of cutting and dicing. I use it many times daily and love the light feel. It replaces the much larger chef’s knife I was using and a small serrated blade knife. Great addition to my collection!
