Not just for small hands—Nimble, Light, Capable

I love the Zwilling Pro line of knives. I’ve owned the 7” Hollow Edge Santoku for 9 years. The bolster is incredibly comfortable and the knives stay sharp for ages.
I’ve wanted to add to my collection for some time. I’ve tried the full size 8” chefs knife before and it felt awkward. The santoku has felt right but I’ve always wanted something that rocked more easily and was more in the vein of a traditional chef’s knife shape.
This Slim chefs knife caught my eye as it was on sale. The description of a smaller handle “for smaller hands” worries me, though. I’m 6’2” and certainly don’t have “smaller hands.” Upon receiving the knife, the handle is somewhat smaller than my santoku, but not by a lot. The handle doesn’t feel small, but it does feel much easier to wield. The knife feels very nimble and quick. I prepped an entire Christmas dinner using just the one knife last night, from mincing herbs and garlic to prepping root vegetables and slicing tenderloin. I was happily surprised at a lack of fatigue in my knife hand after all was said and done.
I’m very happy with this knife. I highly recommend it.

I wanted a 7" chef's knife, the problem is the handle - it is substantially smaller than the 8" chef's or the 7" rocking santoku. Had to return it AND pay the return postage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great knife, just didn't fit right or feel right in my hand. I thought I was ordering a larger version of Zwilling 6-inch I had purchased a month ago. I'll find some uses for it. Again, the knife is great, sut didn't fit or feel well in my hands.
