This is a santoku which is best used as a chopping knife. being a forged knife gives more weight and may feel more effective.

Perfect size and sharp!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace another Santoku knife that had a bent tip. This drop forged knife fits perfectly into most hands and is so sharp that slicing felt like a hot knife through butter.

Prevents Scratches, Small Air Gaps

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 1. Slight curvature at the end of the knife lowers amount of scratches on the cutting board.
2. Small air gaps on the one side of the knife do not always prevent food from sticking to the knife due to adhesion.
