Love this knife.

I bought this knife because my cheap Santuko knife handle broke. I also needed a bird peak paring knife.(Lost this one) So I got both, wonderful investment I already have 5 J.A. Henckels knives so this was a no brainer.

Great quality knife

Uniquely shaped blade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was eyeing this santoku knife for a while. It has a narrower blade than traditional santoku knives. I own several other santoku knives and was very curious about this one. Upon opening it come out razor sharp with a good feel of springy, forged steel. Blade is not very thick and its width makes it very versatile for slicing and mincing small vegetables, herbs, garlic, etc. A separate prize goes to the handle, it is very ergonomic and allows to work with the knife with a great control. However, I got a bit perplexed by the fact that the hollow edge is only on one, left (sic) side, which I found quite counterintuitive.

I like the smaller santoku sometimes, just feels very comfortable in my hand and I like the shorter blade for certain tasks. The santoku is one of my favorite knives and I use it as much as I use a chef knife. The santoku can be used on meat, poultry and vegetables and the grantons (hollow edge) keep the food from sticking to the blade. Great value on this santoku if you do not own one yet, you should!

This 5 inch hollow edge knife is great for chopping, slicing, etc. The hollow edge helps resist food sticking to the blade. The handle provides a great grip and comfortable handle at a very affordable price.

Pick this Forged Premio santoku knife up when you want to easily chop and mince your food. The handle is designed with a comfortable grip in mind. The sharp blade will effortlessly cut through food while the hollow edge divets will guide food up and off of the knife as you work.
