Great large dutch oven

I love using this pot for so many recipes. This is a great size cocotte, I’ve used the 5.5 qt before and sometimes that would be too small, but with the 7 qt. you’re not restricted in size when making large soups or recipes. I love how well this heats up and retains the heat. I also love that the lid actually does something in the cooking process, and that I don’t have to worry about my food going dry. It’s heavy, but very durable, I absolutely love this piece!

I roast a whole chicken in this and it comes out amazing. It's perfect for big family meals.
I love to brown in this pot and finish in the oven.
It's heavy but worth its weight!!

My Favorite Staub Piece

This pot is used almost every day in our house. Yes soups and stews are a natural but i use it to make burgers. The finish on Staub products create a beautiful sear on meat and the high walls prevent grease from spattering everywhere. My most favorite thing to do in this pan is deep fry anything. The heat retention on the pan is phenomenal. You could drop something ice cold into the hot oil and the temperature doesn't change. You will fall in love with this pan!

Love the way the moisture is sealed in when I'm cooking a chicken or Pot Roast. Everything is so tender and wonderful tasting.

I have several different sizes of cast iron but this 7qt is the one I use the most.
The slightly rough interior browns beautifully and cleans easily. I use this pot for stews and soups, whole chickens, roasts and of course my famous all day chili. It goes from the cooktop to the oven and then looks pretty enough to use a serving dish on the table.
Still looks like new after several years and many many uses.

My fav chicken paprikash pot for weekend family dinners! Also makes great stews, soups for family and friends, breads and so much more! No limits on this one! Cooks evenly and no need to keep adding water.

This lovely dark blue cocotte is perfect for a large family, social gathering, or holiday. It is a beautiful statement piece and truly browns evenly. The moisture locking lid is quiet impressive and leaves some juicy goodness inside.
