I bought this knife along with a block, a carving set, and a chopping knife. My son is just starting out in his own apartment so I thought it would be a great gift for him, one that he can use for the rest of his life. I got my first Henckels for a wedding present from my aunt and am still using them today, 31 years later. These are wonderful knives with an excellent customer service department.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have got into smoking meats. I need to trip the fat off or ribs, chickens, turkeys, brisket and such. This knife makes it super easy and fun. I have never had a nice knife until now and am happy I bought it. I was so impressed with it I bought my mom and four sisters one for Christmas! I will keep this rating until I see the knife durability lessen.
