Beauty and function

This is one of the most beautiful knives I have ever seen and it is astonishing that it is also so sharp and comfortable to use. You can really tell the hand-craftsmanship of each and every knife that Miyabi makes! I also love how the handle is getting a slightly darker hue as I use it from the oils in my hand to make it truly on-of-a-kind.

One of my most used knives in the kitchen! I always have this knife close at hand when I am working in the kitchen. I bake so I am constantly peeling fruits largely, but some vegetables as well. It is perfect for peeling the fruits and it is super sharp so often I can get that peel off in one long piece! The handle is very comfortable in my hand and make the small work easy! SG2 super steel and a special ice-hardening process makes this knife super sharp and very durable.

Yet another awesome Miyabli knife!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband actually began my introduction to Myabi knives by purchasing a large chef knife as a gift for me last December. Since then, this is the 2nd additional Miyabi knife that has found its way to our kitchen ... much to the dismay of other knives in our knife drawer. These knives are SO sharp and effective not to mention how beautiful they are ... truly works of high craftsmanship. I know no words to recommend them more!

When I first saw this knife I fell in love with the beautiful design features. From the Birchwood handle, to the 100 layered Damascus design, the appeal was all visual. After using for several weeks, I can honestly say this is the best parer I've ever owned. The blade is thin and sharp which helps it glide through the skins of fruits and veggies. Peeled 5 pounds of potatoes in record time, with hardly any waste. Hard to believe a knife that looks so good, cuts as great as it does. Worth every penny!

Light & fast!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This knife is perfect for fine precision cuts. I use it for deseeding things and coring fruits & veggies. It is so light and nimble it feels like an extension of my hand. It is by far my favorite paring knife I have ever used.
