Very durable

I love the Damascus look of this knife. The curved part of the handle fits so well in my hand and is not over accentuated. The FC61 steel provides a lot of durability and allows the knife to be amazingly sharp. It is so easy to cut with!

Great Chopping Blade

Ordered this new one quickly. Has pakka handle that's slightly bulged so fit in hand is nice. Wrapped to achieve deeper, unique blade which is flat for quick-chopping motion.

Perfect knife for Lefties

It's difficult to find a knife comfortable and easy to use for left handers, and when I tried this one out at Sur La Table, I was sold. Fits so comfortably in my hand. Beautiful blade finish and the edge has retained it's sharpness over months of daily use. Perfect knife to cute veggies, fruits, any meat or poultry product.

great update

I had looked at the original Kaizen line a wile ago and the changes they made with this new line are impressive. First they added just a touch of girth to the handle. It fits much better in my hand. Second the change in steel. The FC61 that is used is so much more durable. The edge holds forever and is super easy to sharpen. I like how they kept true to the Damascus styling on the blade.
