A real beauty from the Miyabi line! The look is amazing and aesthetically beautiful and the performance rivals the best of any Miyabi. I love the hammered finish and it really helps food not stick to the knife surface. Very special look with the dark brown wood, red and brass ring spacers and mosaic pin. One of the best Miyabi Chef knives! For this price, it is a bargain for what you get!

I love this knife. Love the look, the feel of the traditional D-shaped handle in my hand and the hammered finish. The hammered finish besides looking amazing, keeps the food from sticking to your knife! This knife has a super steel, SG2, which means it is able to be sharpened to an acute angle, and retains that sharpness for longer. Just a great knife to work with in the kitchen and one of my absolute favorites.

Like many other reviewers have said it's easy to see that this knife is a work of art. It is like owning a small Japanese sword. It is extremely sharp and retains it sharpness, slicing through meat or vegetables with ease. The SG steel it is made from is among the strongest and hardest yet it retains it's flexibility to resist chipping.

Food doesn't stick

This chef knife is so wonderfully crafted. It is my favorite to use in the kitchen! The handle is curved, and fits well in anyone's hand. The blade is hand hammered to help the food not stick when slicing and dicing. This is a knife you want displayed in your kitchen when not using!

from what i've researched the steel on this knife is about the best you can buy. Sg2 steel is made wit ha powered steel and then its forged. All the markers of a premium knife. The outer layers of softer steel protect the very rigid center layer, keeping it as sharp as can be. This is a very special knife and you deserve it, I know I did!

Beautiful and Versatile Knife

I love the handle of this knife. It fits so nicely in m hand with the slight curve, so it is super comfortable if I am cutting a lot of stuff at a time. I love the finish on the blade and how shiny it stays, even after a lot of use. Chef's knives are always super versatile, but I find that this one in particular is easy to use and clean up is a breeze.

Super edge...razor sharp. SG2 steel is the best with hammered finish to prevent sticky food. Comfortable, pakkawood handle is durable, too
