awsome knife. sits well in hand. very sharp. stayed extremly sharp about 1 month. used it everyday in professional restaurant kitchen. easy to cut meat, veggies and cheese. blade is pretty nonstick :) good knife for that prize.

This knife came razor sharp out of the box and feels like a very high quality item in the hand. We cut potatoes and carrots with it and it slices through them like a laser. Time will tell on how the edge holds up but we are impressed so far.

You want a chef knife that that makes you feel like a pro, this is that knife. This was one of my first Japanese knives years ago and I still love it to this day. It is very sharp due to the SG2 super steel and the special ice-hardening process that the super steel goes through. The result is a very sharp knife that will retain its sharpness for a very long time, which means less work for me! The D-shape handle fits snuggly in my hand which gives me control and comfort. Such a beautiful knife that is handcrated in Japan, and will become your pride and joy!!

Great Craftsmanship

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Blade edge is sharp, uniform, and unpolished. Blade is crafted beautifully and polished with zero defects. Feels great in the hand, good weight. Handle is smooth and comfortable, but the transition from handle to bolster could be better. Bolster is rounded for comfort and comfortable it is. Great work!
