This covered cast iron baking dish not only makes a perfect vessel for recipes prepared in the oven, but can also be used in most countertop ovens and on the grill. The cover allows for faster cooking, steaming, and retaining moisture. Ideal size for appetizers, side dishes, or small portions.

This baking dish is super versitile. It can be used just like an au gratin dish but also can be used for items that need a lid to cover during baking. The lid also keeps the food hot longer and easy to transport.

I make all my hot dips in this dish and the lid make it easy to transport. The matte black interior coating makes clean up easy and I love the details on the handles and lid.

Perfect for side dishes

This baking dish is perfect for side dishes because since it is made out of cast iron, when you take it from the oven to the table, the heat is retained and since it has a cover, it stays hot even longer! I love the brass knob detail which is a great contrast to the matte black finish.

Roasts beautifully...Consistent heat holding and enameled for ease of cleaning. Grab two or three for tableside family dining...cook & look great.

I really like this baking dish. The natural properties of cast iron heat evenly and stay hot for a long time. The enamel coating means no seasoning and an easy cleanup. The matte interior gives superior browning and easy release. It works great to cook in but also to serve out of as it stays hot at the table.

Really love this beautiful oval baking and serving piece. Limited space in my kitchen so I choose carefully when purchasing kitchenware. This Staub baker can be used in the fridge for storing prepped recipes, in the oven to complete the cooking process, and on the table as a server, that looks great and holds on to the heat. Home run for me!
