With or Without the Cover, This Dish is Adorable

Cooking is good cast iron is a joy for me. I like that I can sear and fry and roast at high dry heat. This dish is no exception. It's a perfect for a good sized entree for one or for side dishes. The cast iron cooks evenly and heats food to perfection.

Fancy detail on the lid, which I am so happy to have. Perfect for side dishes! The performance is everything you would expect from Staub. Exceptional browning and release due to the innovative black matte interior. I can usually wipe this put with a damp cloth. Great size and shape.

Great covered oval dish

This is the perfect serving dish for casseroles, gratins, and ratatouille recipes. I love that it comes with a lid that can help cook my meals in the oven or keep food warm on the table or for storing food in the dish in the fridge. With it being cast iron, it does a great job heating and cooking everything in the dish evenly. A great dish to have for serving great meals.

This small oval baking dish can be used for anything from small servings of food, serving/presentation dish or simply as decoration. The cast iron will perfectly bake and brown whatever you put inside it and will clean up easy too!

Love the rustic black look and that it comes with a lid. Good for side dishes or a hot appetizer. Great for cooking indoors but out on the grill as well. Retains the heat. The enamel inside and out cleans up so easily.

Use this to make hot dips and serve right from the baking dish; just put on a trivet right from the open to keep my mexican, aritchoke, spinach or crab dip nice and warm. Cleans up easily also.

Mini covered dish, braiser, roaster & baker!

This Staub covered mini cast iron braiser is perfect for single served short ribs, roasting meat and baking. Heavy weight, tight-fitting lid retains moisture, lid create a rain-forest effect evenly returning juices back onto food. Cast iron possesses exceptional heat-retaining qualities, so the pot heats evenly throughout.
I owned 2 of this covered oval cast iron baking/braising dish in both colors, it is one of my favorite cookware for single served dish. What a wonderful gift to myself 2 years ago, it is exceptionally versatile bakeware.
Can serve food directly from the oven straight to dining table. It is durable, it is perfect for day-to-day use. Staub cast iron requires no seasoning and ready to use for daily cooking.
Smooth enamel bottom works on all stovetops, including gas, electric, glass, ceramic, induction, and halogen. Oven safe up to 900F/482C without lid, Lids are oven safe up to 500F/260C. Hand washing is recommended.
